Principal, Carlos Ramirez
As a professional who believes in the infinite power of being a global citizen in the 21st century, it is my mission to inspire every student to embark on a life-long journey of learning. As the principal of Randolph Elementary School, I am honored to lead an institution where diversity and culture are celebrated and valued in a caring and welcoming environment and where social-emotional learning is supported through the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. I started my career in education after I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Universidad Pedagogica Experimental Libertador – Instituto Pedagogico de Caracas, Venezuela, with a B.A. in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. A few years later, I earned my M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) at Greensboro College, NC. I also attended Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, to further my post-graduate studies in Educational Leadership. I taught a wide range of grade levels (K-16) for 18 years in Venezuela, North Carolina, and Virginia, before becoming a school administrator at Arlington Public Schools, where I have had the opportunity to lead staff and contribute to their excellence with my instructional expertise. I am looking forward to having a successful school year alongside teachers and students at Randolph!
