In the FLES program, we develop functional skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish. We use a variety of learning activities including conversational practice, songs, games, read-alouds, and group and independent projects to support students in their language development in all four language domains. During the school year, students acquire the skills to express themselves on many topics, such as greetings, self-introductions, seasons, weather, colors, clothing, animals, communities, and many other topics.
