Free Books: Title I Summer Mailbox Books Program

Dear Randolph Families,

This year, through the Title I Summer Mailbox Books Program, all of our students (PreK – 5th grade) can choose 10 free books that will be mailed home over the summer to read and keep. Click here and enter your child’s ID (lunch number) to select the books of your liking. We will be talking about this in school. Your child may be coming home in the next couple of weeks with questions and ideas for conversation with you about what types of books, stories, or topics you like and why. Talking about yourself as a reader can support your child in thinking about themselves as a reader and the books they might want to choose to support their reading!  Families have the option to select the books together as a family activity. The website that APS’ program partner, Bookworm Central, provides for selecting books will be open for ordering over Spring Break (March 23-31) for that purpose. If you prefer to guide your child’s selections as a parent/guardian/family, this dedicated time for family selections provides an opportunity to do so. More information about how to do that can be found on this APS website for the Summer Mailbox Books program. Beginning April 1 and continuing through April 21, students will be guided to select books at school if not already completed.  Students will receive their selected books in the mail in early summer! Books will be mailed to the home address identified in the student record. If a family prefers that books are mailed to a different (U.S.) address, that can be adjusted when placing the order. If a family prefers to pick up the order at their school, the school address can be entered during the ordering process.
