What is the Primary Years Programme (PYP)?
The transdisciplinary framework uses inquiry to challenge learners to be internationally minded through active learning. The curriculum is engaging, relevant, challenging and significant for all students in preschool through fifth grade. It consists of the written curriculum, the taught curriculum and the assessed curriculum and provides flexibility as we work to achieve state standards of learning.
The community experience at Randolph is enhanced by the PYP. Through this approach, students learn how to take control of their learning, teachers collaborate to deepen student-learning and increase student confidence and self-motivation. The whole school community, including parents, are viewed as partners in this experience.
