Ms. Kathleen Donnelly
Ms. Katie Donnelly is a Pre-K teacher at Randolph Elementary. She started at Randolph in 2006. Before coming to APS, she taught in Baldwinsville, NY teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten for four years. At Randolph, Katie taught Kindergarten for five years before teaching Pre-K. She received her bachelor’s degree from The State University of New York at Oswego. She enjoys running, traveling, music, and spending time with her 2 daughters, family, and friends.
Ms. Kim McGuire
Kim McGuire is a preschool special education teacher at Randolph. She started working at Randolph in 1998. She received her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Cortland and her Master’s from SUNY New Paltz. In her free time, she likes to go for walks, ride her bike and spend time with her family and friends.
Sarah Harrison is a pre-k teacher. This is her first year teaching at Randolph. Prior to joining APS she taught in Alexandria for many years as a reading specialist, literacy coach, and kindergarten teacher. She received her Bachelor’s degree from The University of Pennsylvania and her Master’s degree from The University of Virginia. In her free time she enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
The children in the Prekindergarten programs at Randolph engage in enriching educational experiences, explore learning materials and new ideas, and build their skills to prepare them for kindergarten. The preK curriculum is research based, fostering the development of:
- Literacy through our OWLS (Opening the World of Learning), Words Their Way and Handwriting Without Tears curriculums
- Math skills, with the implementation of the Everyday Math and Numbers Plus curriculums and
- Building social emotional foundations with the support of the High Scope curriculum and Conscious Discipline methodology.
As part of the IB Primary Years Programme of instruction, we cultivate thoughtful and caring students to prepare them for lifetime learning and to grow into responsible global citizens.
