Donnelly  Ms. Kathleen Donnelly

Ms. Katie Donnelly is a Pre-K teacher at Randolph Elementary. She started at Randolph in 2006. Before coming to APS, she taught in Baldwinsville, NY teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten for four years. At Randolph, Katie taught Kindergarten for five years before teaching Pre-K. She received her bachelor’s degree from The State University of New York at Oswego. She enjoys running, traveling, music, and spending time with her 2 daughters, family, and friends.



Ms. Vanesa Figueroa Vorndran

Vanesa Figueroa Vorndran is a preschool teacher at Randolph. Before Randolph she was a preschool teacher at Sunshine Elementary in Lee County Florida, and a special education teacher at Instituto Loaiza Cordero in Puerto Rico. She attended college at American University College in Puerto Rico where she studied Education with a major in Special Education and a minor in Early Education. In her free time she likes to read books and watch Netflix. When she is not doing that she likes to visit new places and hang out with friends.

Ms. KiMcGuirem McGuire

Kim McGuire is a preschool special education teacher at Randolph. She started working at Randolph in 1998.  She received her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Cortland and her Master’s from SUNY New Paltz. In her free time, she likes to go for walks, ride her bike and spend time with her family and friends.


Ms. CCupidolette Cupid

Colette Cupid is a VPI teacher at Randolph. Before Randolph, she worked as a teacher in schools in Maryland, Georgia, Peru and Dubai.  She attended undergrad at Rutgers University and received her Masters from the University of Maryland Baltimore County where she studied Early Childhood Education. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, traveling and spending time with family and friends.


The children in the Prekindergarten programs at Randolph engage in enriching educational experiences, explore learning materials and new ideas, and build their skills to prepare them for kindergarten. The preK curriculum is research based, fostering the development of:

  • Literacy through our OWLS (Opening the World of Learning), Words Their Way and Handwriting Without Tears curriculums
  • Math skills, with the implementation of the Everyday Math and Numbers Plus curriculums and
  • Building social emotional foundations with the support of the High Scope curriculum and Conscious Discipline methodology.

As part of the IB Primary Years Programme of instruction, we cultivate thoughtful and caring students to prepare them for lifetime learning and to grow into responsible global citizens.
