Lost, Damaged, or Stolen Devices

Last year this was not a problem at Randolph and we expect the students will continue to take good care of their devices. In the unlikely event that a device is damaged, lost, or stolen, and the child has taken reasonable precautions to take care of it, APS is not currently asking families to pay for repairs or replacement. Because the students are taking good care of the devices, replacement costs have been low. If costs go up in the future, APS may need to reevaluate this practice. We will notify families of any changes. At this point, the greatest loss has been in chargers for the devices. At Randolph, we usually ask for the chargers to stay at school but in an abundance of caution for the likelihood our students might not have access to their chargers, we have asked teachers to send the chargers home along with the devices daily.
