Greetings! This is my fourth school year at Randolph Elementary! I have served as a third grade classroom teacher, a Kindergarten special education teacher, and a Kindergarten English language learner teacher. It is my second year as an English language learner teacher. I enjoy spending my free time with my family and my dog Coco. A fun fact about me is that when I was 9 years old I was stranded in a tropical rainforest with my family!

After 20 years, I’m thrilled to be returning to the Randolph community! I began my teaching career here at Randolph, taught for many years at Claremont Elementary, and just finished 5 years at Ashlawn Elementary. Before I entered the teaching world, I grew up in Richmond, Virginia and attended the University of Mary Washington. After college, I followed my love of history and became a park ranger, where I ran outdoor children’s programs at Civil War battlefields. My love of working with children led me back to school to get my teaching degree. I have a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason and a Master’s in Reading Instruction from the University of Virginia. My favorite picture book is Pink and Say, a book that makes me cry every time I read it. When not at school, I love spending time with my wonderful husband, two sweet sons, and our two dogs, Cindy Lou and Malibu.

Hello! I’m Hannah Williams, a first grade EL teacher at Randolph. This is my first year at Randolph, but my eleventh as an elementary teacher. Before Randolph, I taught first grade and fourth grade in Brooklyn, NY and Washington, DC. I have also been a reading specialist here in Arlington. First graders have always had my heart, and I’m so glad to be returning to work with these creative, energetic learners.
I love reading, writing, and exploring language with my students. In my free time, I cook, knit, and spend time with my family and friends. We especially love the Arlington Public Library, our parks and playgrounds, and exploring all of the amazing food in our region. I am from Maine and spend most of the summer there with my two kids on a small island.
I am so excited to be joining the Randolph community!
