Ms. Sara Conyers, Advanced Academic Coach

Sara Conyers is the Advanced Academic Coach at Randolph. This is her twenty-fifth year in education, and her second year at Randolph. She previously taught in Fairfax County Public Schools. Over the course of her career, she has taught a diverse mix of courses/grade levels from elementary, middle and high school.   She attended college at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. When she’s not at school, Ms. Conyers enjoys spending time with her family, working in her yard and walking her dogs.

The Advanced Academic Coach (AAC) works with teachers to provide access, affirmation, and advocacy for students.

  • As an instructional coach, the AAC’s primary role is to support teachers in meeting the daily differentiation needs of identified students.
  • The AAC provides access to advanced academic resources and critical & creative thinking strategies for ALL students through collaboration with and coaching of teachers.
  • The AAC helps affirm the ongoing support for ALL student populations by helping teachers to become talent scouts and develop portfolios to gather evidence of students’ talent and growth over time.

The AAC is a student advocate committed to collaboration with teachers, as well as administrators and specialists.
